XSI is fanastically powerful and going from Hexagon to XSI feels like going from a Geo Metro to an F-22. I may have no idea what a tenth of these dials and doohickies do but I'm fairly certain they give me absolute control of virtually every aspect of my work.
Oh and it apparently does everything Hex and Carerra does... but all integrated into a single stable, well documented, well supported, and elegant design. You get what you pay for I guess... I just wish I could go back in time and avoid dropping 300 bucks on a vastly inferior product.
Where I felt that I had to beg, cajole, threaten, and trick hexagon into doing what I wanted to do XSI has all but ominiously asked "What is thy bidding master..."
Was it worth the money? For a small fry like me? Probably not... but it sure is nice to drive the digital equivalent of a NASCAR stock car.
